Rental Homes in foreclosure. What should I do?

I have been renting a property here in Miami, Florida from September 2008. Last month, someone from the sheriff's department told me that what has been implemented since June 2008. The owner was negligent home full until it stopped paying rent. Are now required to pay. I do not think it is fair if you do not pay the bank has already bank.Doesnt?
