If the U.S. economy crashed, Iran, for example, opened a stock of crude oil, Mexico's economy also the tank?
My understanding is that opening the market of crude oil to currencies other than the U.S. dollar can initiate a cascade of events leading to disruption important in the United States. Investment in some regions of Mexico, especially in real estate, look very good now, but I'm not sure how closely linked and dependent on the economic stability of Mexico is its northern neighbor.
Iran's oil stock market oil in euros would minimal impact on Mexico. It would however have a significant negative impact on the U.S. dollar.
