How do I know that the bank owns the property before I alive?
My home recently went into foreclosure and do let us know. I discovered when I received a letter from the estate agent acting as a representitive of the bank. However, this agent had misinformed me about my rights as a tenant – And said that if she was just 10 days I have received notice to vacate premises, and even if I paid my rent for November, I am a "tenant-out and I live here illegally – and refuses to give me the name of the bank he represents, and who actually owns the property. My question is, how do I know it's the bank, so they can deal directly with them regarding the refund of my security deposit in escrow and our date of the evacuation?
The agent is correct. When the bank seized, no agreements or lease he had with the former owner. She did not deposit all funds of the escrow security. When you receive an eviction notice, it is expected to leave shortly. Any security deposit is a problem with the old owner, since it is the person you has a contract. You will probably have to take the previous owner to small claims court to recover the security deposit.
