Can a mortgage company to refinance the Tax Lien for me?
I was hospitalized 4 years ago and had to undergo surgery with a higher recovery time greater than I ever expected. I live alone, I dropped many of my responsibilities, fell by the wayside and is indeed only last year that I began to catch up. I not this year, and I received a letter from the IRS recently with penalties and interest calculated a little over $ 30k. Addition I have outstanding uncollected hospital bills of about $ 30k. I inherited a house free and clear it over 120K. My question is: can I find a mortgage company who will take care of me if I have terrible credit and has never had a mortgage? What type of loan will be available? What is probably the range of interests and conditions for someone like me? The thing is that I do not want to lose my house right when I start to get my life back together. Thank you in advance for your thoughts.
Privilege Tax is your worst enemy right now. Now that you have this house could be seized and sold at auction to pay back taxes. You must contact the IRS and the configuration of a plan to repay this debt and stick to their house before. They can and seizure goods (just ask Willie Nelson) and is only a matter of time before learning of this property. I doubt any lender touch until the embargo is gone. Should they lend money that would be at risk of losing your coverage to the IRS. If your house goes to auction their chances to obtain the value of households greatly reduced, especially in this market.
