texas foreclosure attorneys

June 30th, 2008 by admin

Has anyone else been treated unethically by their attorney?

For 3 years my attorney pretended to be working on a case for me.I was injured in a car accident that has caused me to have many strokes. He filed the case 2 days after the statute was up (2 years)Then went so far as to pretend he was close to a settlement,be patient,he even pretended to be working with my bank to stop a foreclosure due to my injuries. How do I sue him for malpractice and fraud.Do I first file a complaint to the Texas Bar or should I have an attorney first?Has this happened to you,and what did you do,and how did it turn out?

Hire another attorney, and if they take the case they will do the leg work. Try to hire a bigger name…they have their reputation riding on that stuff. I went thru close to the same thing with a lawyer last year when I went thru a divorce, and bankruptcy. Since then another former client sued my lawyer for screwing up their bankruptcy, and he has been fined, and sanctioned by the state. All of his bankruptcy procedings must now be looked over by an outside attorney to verify he doesn’t screw it up for the next 7 years. Good Luck
