Home Inspector Speak, See real estate professionals

As a realtor in the state of Washington, sometimes it is difficult to track All terms that are used by home inspectors in their reports. Some inspectors shot in the jargon of the construction is colloquial and not my clients do not understand the words. Probably the most confusing language is when inspectors start talking WDO, WDI and conditions. All inspectors know their industry specific language, so it flows off their tongues with ease, but customers almost always end in confusion, scratching his head, standing, looking perplexed in their faces.

Here's an example: an inspector has in his truck and said, "I'll make a complete WDO inspection at home and report on conditions favorable too. And as you know, I also highlight WDI, if I see one of the little devils stomping around. "What does all this mean?

In the talk inspector RDO is an acronym for wood destroying organism. This includes insects and fungi: termites, wood boring beetles to ants chew wood rot, etc. Now, if negotiations on the WDI inspector then that highlights the wood destroying insects and includes everything listed above, but the rot, a fungus.

If the inspector cites the favorable conditions, although it can mean many things. Formally, this means that the circumstances or conditions that could lead to a WDO or WDI problem in the future. This list is quite flexible in that some people never seen before status could be present in a particular house and if this condition is clearly a problem, then we might call a favorable condition. There are some conditions that are conducive clear and easy to remember: there is no vapor barrier, or broken in the crawl space, leaking plumbing caulking not in contact with the wood floor, sent downspouts drain near foundation; vegetation touching the lining, and that sort of thing.

As an experienced Realtor, I had to learn all this in the jargon of years and thought it might be helpful if I sent you. I hope to be useful for you and you will find informative.
