Location of disorder in real estate?
My father is about to launch a major project to renovate the house (ie, the renewal and restoration). However it has a huge problem. When my grandmother passed in 1984, left the house and property of my father and his 5 brothers and sisters. The problem is that 4 of the brothers are dead for 25 years. When they were never paid property taxes, bills utilities, or contributed to anything with the family, my father was the main person who occupies the house, keep the utilities and property taxes paid. My father is in the initial phase of the project, but can not finance the project. For a line of credit mortgage, he said that other parts of work, who died should be removed from writing. My question is, children of the dead? They try to buy the house in my name father to sell the property and get money. if my father is the line of credit for what we owe them something?
Your father must hire a real estate attorney NOW! The best way to find a way of proceeding is to determine the ownership of property was taken by his father and brothers. If the property has been taken as the property with the right of survivors, and after death of each member of the family, ownership of survivors split of the dead brothers among them. If your father is the only one still alive, he would own the property in total. You need a lawyer to conduct a title search to determine how to distribute the goods, unless you have a copy of the document and a copy of testimony of his grandmother. Let him get a lawyer NOW!
