What and south of Dunedin, is the wettest city NZ?

Real estate here seems less expensive? Any objections? Tell me more ..

First, clarify, South Dunedin is a suburb in Dunedin. I do not know when asked specifically about South Dunedin, or more generally on Dunedin. Dunedin is the city of New Zealand in rain – even if you've been here the past two weeks, you could certainly have made such an impression. Precipitation Dunedin annual average (1971 – 2000) is 812 mm, with an average of 124 rainy days per year. Auckland average of 1240 mm and 137 rainy days for the same period, the Wellington, 1249 mm and 123 rainy days, and Christchurch 648 mm and 85 rainy days. As in the southern South Island temperatures tend to be more cost the parties more north of New Zealand, with frost and occasional snow in winter. I lived in Dunedin for most of last 20 years, and time does not bother me – but some people are cold. Real estate is cheaper here, generally in some other areas of New Zealand. However, there are more expensive neighborhoods of the city (the Maori Hill, Roslyn, St. Clair, and much of the peninsula are to mind). Personally, there's suburbs could not live, but like most cities, there are more and areas least desirable, and this is reflected in the price of the property. So if you decide to buy a home here, will be useful to have a good look around. You can even want to consider renting in an area before buying. Dunedin is central to explore some of the best parts of the South Island – Central Otago, Fiordland and Caitlin. Even within the boundaries of the city, there is much to explore. For example, you can go sailing or fishing in the harbor, sailing in St Clair, or walks around the peninsula. On the peninsula include seals, penguins and royal albatross, and more. South of the city and the moist areas of the lake Waihola Sinclair. If you like cycling, there are bicycles mountain around the city, not far from the road that connects Central Otago. Dunedin is a university town and a vibrant nightlife. Dunedinites love their sport and their clubs are numerous, can join. We have a variety of cafes and restaurants, art galleries and museums and fantastic beautiful heritage buildings. Dunedin was recently named as the best community in the city of New Zealand (ASB Top Spot Reports, February 2009).
