How much can I expect to win as a deputy prosecutor?
I currently attending Montclair State University in New Jersey. I am political science with a minor in Paralegal Studies (Paralegal Certificate premiums after completing ABA approved). How much can I expect to win his debut as assistant entry level attorney? I also want to be a paralegal in real estate or litigation and want to work in New Jersey or New York. PS: He has a degree in political science as a valuable asset to become a paralegal and a legal studies minor. If you Please respond only to people with knowledge in the legal field
I graduated from MSU in 2002 as Legal Studies English with large retailers (ABA-approved paralegal cert.). From personal experience, MSU and the UPF are recognized as the best school for legal studies the region of New Jersey. I do not think any of my employers have always cared what my major was so I would say that if you like science policy to stick with it. Most employers are more interested in 1) experience, 2), CERT ABA paralegal, and 3) the fact that had a degree in anything. The best advice I can give is that if you are not currently in a law firm is seeking a job in industry – Do something – even if you have to work for free as an intern. I started as a part-time clerk for a solo career, while a senior at MSU. I have no money there, but when I graduated, I could say it was one years of experience in law firm which, in turn, helped me get a real job. How many will do in this profession depends on many factors, including the field of law and enter the size / location of the company. I found companies are always looking continued excellent, experienced paralegals, but if you look in this area, expect your work day is often more than 9-5, especially if you are working for a large company. If you want to go into real estate make sure you learn the real estate business and residential – is generally more profit. It is very difficult to say what a starting salary would be today, but if I had to do Educated Guess I'd say you're looking at everything instead of $ 28K to $ 40 per year – perhaps longer if you are willing to work for a large company or New York. All types of businesses and areas of law have their own unique advantages and cons, but after being in the labor force in some time you will have a better idea of what is best for you. Good luck!
