what are some techniques or gimmicks used by real estate companies recently to generate business?
i mean i know of the rebate companies, who will rebate clients 2/3 of the commission or whatever….
anybody know of other stuff like that going on? non traditional ideas?
The big gimmick going around I have seen is the flat fee model where you pay a company a few hundred dollars upfront to get their rubber stamp onto the MLS. It is a modfied listing in that if the seller gets their own buyer they pay no commission and if the an agent brings a buyer through the MLS then the seller just pays a buyer agent commission.
It is not without it’s headaches.
