What should I consider when thinking about a move to Seattle, WA from San Diego, CA?
I’m in a dilemma… I like living down in SD, weather is nice but the traffic is getting worse. I have a daughter and now I think about the quality of life I can provide her. Sure we have the beaches here and dry weather but that’s about it, that can get old. I love surfing but can give it up if I knew I could do more to compensate in a new place; besides, it’s so crowded in the water these days, I paddle out when it’s just getting light out to get a few waves to myself.
I know real estate is not cheap up there by any means, but there’s something about the pacific northwest that I find appealing. The water, climate and proximity to BC. Are there SD transplants in Seattle who could offer some insights, impart a little wisdom or even tell me I’m crazy for moving.

Uh, it rains………… (see the news lately?) but that in the fall/winter. You can tell when it’s spring thou !! the rain is lots warmer…..lol…. summers are nice. There is a never ending list of things to do when not working. IF you choose to live in Seattle, the traffic isn’t for the faint hearted. Snow skiing is winter is popular !!
