I live in California, investing in real estate, but …?

The alternative market is too expensive and risky (in large mortgage is more than rent) … I have access to money and looking to start investing in real estate. I close links with Albuquerque NM but I'm nervous about the idea of putting money into a market that should rent instead of fliping. Ideas? Perhaps other markets? If yes, how? Thank you in advance!

This is not a good market for flipping, CA anyway. I invest in the rental and I think the vast market in CA! Tell the agent you are looking for rent, they'll find much. There are many seizures / selling happens. Remember that tenants will not rent ususually high end homes. They can not afford those, so they are looking for 2-3 homes of two bedrooms for low-income area if you want to be in the dark.
