My husband and I have two houses. One in New Jersey and Texas. We were not married when he bought NJ home, where defaults on mortgages they can come after me, or put anything on my credit? We got married, we bought the house in Texas … what happens here if he misses a payment or default, can they come after me? In both cases, my name is not on the mortgage (Note), but it is on the trust deed …. Thank you

If your name is not on the mortgage, a default on the mortgage does not affect your credit. It's that simple, marriage has nothing to do with it, and having your name on the deed has nothing to do with it. The mortgage is in his name only, it shows on his credit.
