Waiting for bank to respond pre foreclosure?

My husband and I put an offer in on a house that is being sold as a pre-foreclose.
My realtor told me that the seller realtor contact him today and told him that the seller signed the contract and said it look good to him.
So now the seller is going to summit the offer to his bank.

The house has been on the market since Nov 15,07
they have drop the price three times. The originaly price was 200k it’s on the market for $184k we offer $180 with 3% closing cost.
How long for the bank to respond do you think it looks good we also sent are pre-approve letter.

my realtor told me that all pre foreclosure home are subject to bank approval.

It does not matter how long or what the list price was.

The banks cares about how much is owed compared to the offer. They also care about how strong your offer is, how much your downpayment is.

I have been waiting over 3 months on a couple of offers. Be prepared to wait a very long time.
