I need help understanding the website line that shows the document of the property tax of a person and how much someone paid for a house. No, it does not mean they bought for a dollar. However, the transfer tax mthe placed on the document you will determine the price. The filings vary from state to state. I am a former Recorder of deeds. The act in Delaware is independent of the mortgage. It gives the name of the seller, buyer, location, etc. the loan documents are ordered separately in Delaware. Those which are used to attach a lien on the property, and are removed once the loan is paid in full.
