Quitclaim or Warranty Deed?
I own a condo with my ex boyfriend and I’d like to get off the mortgage and everything now he tried to get refinanced but his credit isn’t so good and with the economy and everything now especially my question is should I do a quitclaim or warranty deed or is there something else I can do to get my name off the mortgage?!
The problem is he refuses to sell it or move out, so I moved back with my parents now.
A quit claim deed will remove you from the title but it will not remove you from the note.
You can force a sale through a “Partition” lawsuit but other than your Ex refinancing the property in his name only are the only ways to get your name off the mortgage.
