Can I buy another house with no money upfront?
I own my house outright, no mortgage. Now the kids have left home I’m looking to downsize to something smaller.Unfortunately, although I work, I never seem to have enough money left to save to pay for solicitors fees, removal costs, surveys, etc.I’ve had a valuation on my property – around £115,000. and I’m looking to buy for about £80-90,000.Any solutions out there, or am I doomed to stay here for ever? Thanks for advice in advance.
Solicitors & Estate Agents (selling) fees will all get paid ‘at the end’ so no problem if you sell for more than you buy (the Solicitor takes care of all the money transfers for buying & selling & Estate agents fees, then takes their fees out of the balance and then pays you whatever is left over – or sends you a bill). If you can get the Estate Agent (or Solicitors) to organise any Surveys that will get added to their bill at the end as well ..
The main one you will have to pay ‘separate’ is the Removal costs & this is where the kids have to help out (they can either use their own cars to move you or help by clubbing together to hire a van or pay a ‘proper’ removal company) …
