Trying to claim the credit for mortgage interest in 1040, but how do I know my number CREDIT MORTGAGE certificate?

I do not know where my certificate. Last year, IRS did not request the certificate number, and it has issued. This year it is. I called the bank that issued my mortgage. They said they can not tell me where to find the license number. How then I know my license number and that the mortgage was issued.
