mortgage billing statement
Now that so much can be billed electronically (credit cards, etc.) do I need to keep paper copies?

I try desperately to reduce my clutter, especially paper, and I wondered if I could just throw all my old statements credit card, etc. What kinds of things you really need to keep a hard copy? Obviously mortgage documents, insurance policies, wills, etc. But otherwise, I really need to cling to ANYTHING paper? Oh, and how the billing statements that I had a few years ago before everything went e? Just FYI, I already pay most of my bills electronically and asked them to stop sending paper bills. I guess that my questions are mainly around the statments old / invoices / etc that was there before I went paperless.

Going electronic can reduce congestion and of course makes you more green! However, consider that you want to stay organized enough to get this information when necessary.Take a point of great companies. Get a file cabinet to store your important items (like those you mentioned), but also use this file cabinet to store you connect to these sites info you have electronic records. Do not keep this vital information online or on your computer. Hackers can enter and get this information easily from there. Use a safe Bank of really important items, such as wills and trusts (although your lawyer should have a copy of course). To save even more money, the banks use your online banking to pay bills. Think paper on the way, time and money you can save by paying your bills electronically. And features well-developed billpay can monitor payments you, you can create automatic payments, and even show you some statistics on the percentage of your money goes to which expenditures (that like having your own book at home). Of course, ask your bank about their safety features prior to these documents, which contain Finally SHRED vital info (your previous statements that you will get rid of). Crooks also use old-fashioned techniques to get your info, like rummaging through garbage. Good rule of thumb, keep hospital bills for at least two to three years, their billing is terrible and uninformed and they can liquidate rebilling card statements you.Credit for 1-2 months, Hope this helps.
