QUESTION ABOUT RENT A ROOM IN IRELAND?
I have a house and want to rent a room to improve my refund loans, what I want to know is what the tenant has to work or if the housing allowance to provide social it.also should I register as the owner for the Social?
You can rent to whomever you want, if you want to accept someone who receives a stipend of then rent it to you. There are conditions that can rent from you if you get housing allowance. Can be a family member, etc. I do believe that all owners now put the tenants to deposit pre-approved plan of deposit under rent and you must register as an owner, other people you would be to inform the tax authorities. Any rent you get with BE taxable income im afraid!
