Life coaching men through the recession

Men have always been regarded as role models, providers and leaders of the house. However, the trends shift means that, although many men still hold these roles, women are considered as equally capable as men to be leaders in the workplace and at home.

Increasing pressures on men and women in the workplace not only affects their family life, but on their health and wellbeing leads to short and long term, however evil, it is noted the effects of recession coupled with traditional gender roles are causing many people to suffer in silence without seeking help with their workplace issues.

Joint work fears that the experience of men in a recession are:

1: Fear of loss of redundancy and employment

2: midlife crisis career for life – where middle-aged men occupation jobs for years want to leave to pursue more challenging roles, but the fear that because of their age, lack of skills to date, competition and other factors that will impede the new jobs and opportunities

3: The fear that deep down they are not good enough at work and at home

4: Fear of being perceived as weak if they seek medical help or support from other

5: The fear of losing their livelihood and status without the role of a "male" clear should they lose their jobs

6: fear of stigma labeled as mentally ill is that they seek emotional support

7: The fear of being considered as incompetent and unable to work, they do not follow deadlines and workloads

8: The fear of social and economic status demoted in connection with job loss. Either the loss of home, property, luxury items, the status of livelihood and other financial problems. Worried what others will think

9: Living increased stress and anxiety that working for a company seeking to stay ahead of competition during an economic crisis

10: Depression, when unemployed, or threatened with layoff

11: As employers seek to reduce costs during a recession, a man may feel that any chance of a salary increase, bonus or promotion will be retained, however, works hard and is committed. career advancement Therefore it is unlikely and it will be stuck in his current role – even grateful for a job but frustrated by the stagnation and no reward or recognition

12: furious after suddenly taking the work of another person so his own account, without additional incentives, support or consultation. Feel compelled to "put up and shut up for fear that will be next on the door if he complains

13: Reduction of self-esteem and pride in association with job loss

It is not surprising that an alarming number of men feel demoralized. It is not surprising to hear that men are twice as likely talk to friends about their problems (Daily Mail, 11.05.2009). Such is the seriousness of men's bottling concerns that many prefer suicide than reveal the anguish and pain they experience at work and at home.

While some say that women are more able to discuss their problems with friends and family, with more men feel less able to do so, it is important that we look at how to reach men who suffer in silence.

So how can you tell if a man who knows the problems of recession?

1: Are there any notable changes in behavior and mood? Is drinking, smoking or making another addictive behavior more often?

2: Is it more aggressive and angry?

3: Maybe it is withdrawn or refused to discuss problems at work?

What Life Coaching can offer a man who has problems caused by the recession?

1: Life coaching enables man to discuss their problems freely and openly, without trial or critical.

2: Life Coaching is the objective.

3: Coaching Life can acquire one for a man who feels weak or like a failure.

4: Life Coaching can help a man gain clarity about his life and help to see things in perspective. When someone has negative thought patterns, it is often refreshing for someone who sees the true reality his position to help move towards a better result. When a man can not see the wood from the trees, a life coach can often help to towards a solution

5: For middle-aged men who feel like they are stuck in a rut with little to offer life coach can identify hidden skills and talents that humans can use for a new job or a new opportunity

6: A life coach can motivate and energize the man to make changes and help keep on track with an action plan

7: If a man is in distress can act in a self-destructive, then it is also able to act in a positive way to help himself but needs support and someone outside his own "inner circle" to open his mind to new possibilities. If a man is capable of see a glimmer of hope when he is able to take small steps toward his goal.

8: A life coach does not mark the human condition or attempt to define it. They just look where he is in his life now and get an idea of where he wants to be before the change facilitatating, provided that the man is dedicated and committed to improving his life

9: Life Coaching identifies the pain a man feels. He obviously approached the coach for a reason and if he sees coaching as a form to help ease his pain, which is a good start.

10: Life Coaching is confidential and private, and respecting the concerns and issues of individual

11: Life Coaching helps build confidence and open communication. If a man is able to approach a life coach who is in itself a big step toward change. It is to accept it responsible for changing his life he just wants to help do so. In return, he must feel able to speak to his coach and not to feel as if he is abnormal or less than a man because he has problems.

12: Life Coaching does not give a man answers magic bullet or quick fix. If a man is determined to change a life coach will not miraculously change his life, but will benefit from his life if stays with the program.

13: Life Coaching offers relief from emotional stress allowing the man to get things of his chest that did not disclose to anyone

Finally, how do you know if a man if he is ready for Life Coaching?

Let me emphasize, saying that man must accept that:

1: He has a problem of adaptation and is not in current status

2: He wants help and is ready to accept

3: He will undergo a change and is willing to give dedication to 100%

4: It is determined to achieve with the support of his coach

5; He recognizes that he deserves happiness and fulfillment

6: He's stuck to feel as if his life is "stuck in limbo" and wants to get rid of procrastination and negative thought patterns that are holding him

7: It has symptoms of stress that negatively affect their lives

What does this mean?

Well, a man must seek help and get in touch with a life coach and when the coaching program, it must be committed in the program if it is to see positive results. He needs to develop stamina, action and commitment AZ.

What Is there other opportunities for men to use?

Physical exercise has many benefits and is a good remedy against stress particularly for men in jobs of high tension, stressful and demanding. It produces serotonin (the feel good factor) and health benefits and well being, however, men also need emotional support. Do not be fooled into thinking that men who exhibit bravado and machismo are emotionally stable and strong. Often these men are simply "front" when inside, they desperately need help, but fail to out the same way that some women do. Men are often equally if not more fragile than women, but conceal their vulnerability as well. According to the Daily Mail, middle aged men are currently members most likely to take their own lives. They are also more likely to turn to alcohol and angry when disturbed.

Men can also adopt a more positive attitude to their situation by accepting the loss of employment may be the end of a former position, but the beginning of a new opportunity, if he comes to open his mind to his skills, talents, transferable skills and capabilities. When one door closes, another opens. In addition, during the time when a man loses his job, he may tend to retreat if is not in the hunt for a new job, but should rather seek to build relationships and contacts with people in the industry, he wants work

If a man has lost his job and is struggling to find another over the period during which he is seeking, it should consider volunteering in a new field that is interested in the place. It can be difficult to do when the bills, mortgages and other necessities are driving, however, who volunteered to help gain experience and even a new job.

That young men under 35 who have problems at work?

In the developed world we live in a materialistic society where we all strive to belong, to gain status in a certain way and are often influenced by our peers. So if a young man came to lose his job, he can see the ramifications as hazardous. It can not only affect his self-esteem and esteem, but his status among his peers. The ability to acquire money and possessions are tied with a man self-esteem and losing these things Following job loss is a frightening prospect. In addition, at a time when men are in trouble at work is the opportunity of a Response to step before the problem gets worse and they feel unable to cope and pathways to self-destructive such as consumption drugs or alcohol.

Men need to feel able to talk to someone for help when they are struggling to work and that person must be someone they can relate to a certain level. I'm not necessarily talking to another male, but someone who have really understands what they live and are not quick to judge or comment. Life Coaching can help people challenge their negative thinking and limits itself, for example, a middle-aged man trapped in a career crossroads. Life Coaching can also help men to see the careers and the opportunities they have not already considered. Finally, using a life coach to help men reach their goals. It well if a man finally, with the help of a life coach admits he wants to do with his life and make him feel happier if he does not receive assistance, motivation and direction to get there. A life coach helps plan of action and measures its not every week to ensure that is on track.

Why does Life Coaching offer a program?

Well, imagine this scenario. You are a man who can not cope at work. You approach a life coach and after a few sessions that you have gained in clarity and know what you do next and a plan of action is established. This action plan is broken down so you can perform your tasks in manageable steps and if you feel overwhelmed by the current situation and your workplace. Therefore, it must be adapted to you and your current situation and just enough challenge, but not stress or burden you. Some life coaches like myself have been trained to manage stress so that we can use exercises practices to help people manage their workload and stress, cope with situations more effectively.
