Are the ads on craigslist for real? I have been looking to rent a house and I am seeing ads that say you can ?
take over mortgage payments on homes that are almost in foreclosure. I called one of the numbers and the guy said that you just have to make two or three times the mortgage. The he wanted to set up a log in so I can search for homes on a website. He said there would be a 199 dollar processing fee and you had to pay to access the site. I told him I wanted to sit on it for a bit before I made a decision, and the guy hung up on me.
This did not seem like a legit company to me if the guy has the nerve to tell me that the conversation is being recorded for quality purposes and then hangs up on me.

Since it is not legal to “take over a mortgage” you can pretty much tell this is a scam.
Most ads are from regular people though.
