How can affect Treasury yields other interest rates?

I'm having a brain fart here … Economic The hypothetical situation I envisage is that China and other big buyers of our Treasury debt all-of-a sudden decided to sell their assets in cash. Price Treasury would fall dramatically and yields will increase. But then what is the link for the rest of the economy? Obviously, our government scrambling to cut spending and possibly raise taxes. What would be the direct effect on other interest rates (FFR mortgages, etc.)? One last thing, if my situation hyptothetical happens, is not the flood of dollars Coming Home also exert downward pressure on interest rates via the easy money / graph supply and demand? (Ok, brain fart calmed a little, like increasing returns Treasury bond prices others must follow suit because the risk is greater than the Treasury).

Treasuries are now considered as a benchmark security. Therefore, yields of others can be interpreted as an increased risk in treasuries. Nevertheless, assuming unlikely that you have created, the Treasury would no longer be regarded as the safest place to park cash (the only reason you drop the bills in mass because they seem more likely), it is prudent to assume that some of the bonds of other could replace the reference. Difficult to say what it would be. It's your hypothetical.
