bank and mortgage charges?
from may to november my bank halifax charged me £385 as panalty
£35X11 since my direct debit missed and not enough money in the bank there are transactions gone through.the worst thing is my mortgage direct debit didnt go through my bank charged me £35 and my morgage company mortgage express charged me £35 altogether £70 This is a great rip off .Please let me know how I can recover these charges.

I think you;ve missed the boat as far as recovering bank charges are concerned. Banks are now in the position of arguing their charges reflect the cost of dealing with the unpaid transactions. The charges used to be higher and were found to be disproportionate and were set aside in some cases but i think the bottom dropped out of that particular challenge some while ago. How about making sure you have enough money to cover your outgoings – or don’t you expect to have to take responsibility for your own finances?
