How long does it take to close on a property before HUD home? 60 days?
Our offer was accepted on a HUD home in May 7. We are still awaiting a closing date later, almost 2 months. They took all our information for weeks, waiting on the government, our real estate agent. What's the deal?? Why so long? I know it's the Gov't, but GEEZ! Anyone else going / have been subjected to the same thing?
Texas, near HUD offers 45 days after the contract was executed. Your lender is required to have the documents to the company which closed until 7 days earlier. If your offer has been accepted 5 / 7. He should be executed no later than 5 / 11. Since the period of 45 days, the closing date should be 7 / 2. Docs should be closest to your lender today.
