Is there a trick to getting to talk to a human from the medicaid office?

I applied for medicaid on-line. They sent me a review packet and I sent back all my stuff. They denied me for everything. I want to know why, since I have my house in foreclosure, We have 1 income (my husband) and its not much., we have 2 small children and I am pregnant. We need medical help desperately and I simply want to know why I was denied since they did not list a reason on my letter or on the web site. But when you call it says hi call volume and hangs up on you.

There are different reason why you could’ve been denied. But since I dont know what state you are living in most of the common reasons could be :

Your income for you family size. ( Most look at gross income for your family) This does include your unborn child.

They will look at your expenses but its doesnt make much of a major factor. ( If your over income doesnt matter how much you pay in expenses)

Status in the US. If you are a perm resident or illegal alient or a US Citz. You fall under certain kinds of Medicaid.

Best way to put it is :

US – Low income , Elderly, Age/Blind/ Disabled , Preganancy, Child

Perm – (after 5 yrs ) same as above

Illegal/Perm – Emergency Medicaid

** Again all states have different requirements. The big factor for all is income and resournces.
