Is it common to pay part of the sellers of the closing costs on a home?
We are buying a house in foreclosure. Us Asked the seller to pay closing costs. The seller has agreed to pay up to 4,000 closing costs and makes us pay the remainder. Our staff offers more than 5000 purchase price of the house. (To cover our closing costs and other charges).
It is not uncommon for a seller who wants to get rid of the house quickly to offer to pay all or part of the closing costs. They do not pay a dime, however. Further, your agent is an idiot if to convince you – or even allow you to – offer more than the price purchase to cover closing costs – The closing costs can be added in the act mortgage, depending on the type you get, but the total price of the house has no do with it.
