I think my condo association is broken! What should I do? How can I exclude?
My condo association is very close to bankruptcy. I do not know what to do! While our association does not go bankrupt, all our suppliers will decrease. We will not have a lawyer, management company, water, electricity, garbage collection and more. What if the city considered our property "condemned"? I'll have to move. You know if you it is preferable to continue to pay my mortgage, even if I'm living in the condo? Should I make a foreclosure? I really need advice. If anyone can help, I really appreciate it. I live in Washington DC.
How the association may file for bankruptcy? They must not receive rights of association and owner assessments. If it were me, I would hold a special meeting of unit owners, voting in a new office, and watch the pounds of group – and hiring a collection agency to collect any fees owed to the association, and rating a special assessment to pay for instant profits. The city condemned the property, only because he did not services. You are liable for the mortgage, no matter what. Something must be done as a unit owner to see where all your fees are going – and appropriate legal action.
