How is the quality of life in Canada from America?
This question is for expatriates who are citizens of the United States and emigrated to Canada. Or Canadian citizens who live on both sides. I thought work and live in Vancouver BC in an IT position in recent years. Who knows? If I could emigrate enough. I think the quality of life in America has been degrading for the past two years. HMO, seizures, inflation, the next recession, fear-mongering demagogues, the lack of gun control, and hours of work to isolate communities, amount of waste put in food, increased literacy rates, etc. The list is growing! As taxpayers friendly U.S. law, volunteers, etc. I think even if I do good things in life and for my next, I feel the system is designed to bleed here. Or expatriate Canadians believe that in Canada?
I am a Canadian expatriate living in the United States. There are some small differences, but in general Quality of life is almost the same. The United Nations employs more Canadian high in almost all the positive indicators, but for the average person of the middle class without disabilities or medical problems, do not think you notice a difference. It is a common myth that Canada has more taxes – is the tax cut federal revenue for most media, and Alberta and Ontario are lower than most EU states, in terms of provincial taxes. Alberta is the lowest in terms of sales taxes, too. So Canadian tax compares favorably wise – because it has been a major fire in the 90s not to compete with the United States, personnel and business taxation, and has worked over the last 15 years or less for lower taxes – with success. Currently, the Canadian economy is doing well, but hours work are probably more or less the same and food standards are the same. I have the impression that the Government of Canada is more sensitive than the United States. No unnecessary spending almost as much, and I felt like more government control, not lobbyists. There is not a lot of pork meaning "He added in the accounts, and I think that although there are no taxes in Canada, at least they are going somewhere worthwhile. You can stop hearing about illegal immigrants, too! Immigration is not a major negative point in Canada. I hear Vancouver is a fantastic place to live, Victoria and I suggest you consult a visit. If it's not that I dislike, you can always come back. I say go for it! My return to Canada if my husband did not have strong family ties here – I lived in Ontario, Newfoundland and Alberta briefly. I have a very positive impression of these places. PS Here link on taxation in Canada. Provincial taxes in BC are mediums. EDIT: I do not know how Matt's attention that much of the difference taxes. To pay 15% in the United States that make under $ 31K (and pay no state or sales taxes!), Which will also open at 15% level federal tax in Canada. Not have provincial or state taxes. Tax bracket in Ontario is only 6% additional this level of income. So maybe things have changed considerably over the past few years, but the numbers do not add up.
