Bank sues Sergei Fedorov over unpaid loans?

http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/story/2008/07/15/nhl-capitals-fedorov.html?ref=rss

I’ll let you read the article on this. I’ll say this much, while he has the collateral at the same time why we see so many people who have money to be in such a position? One would think that if you had money and lots of it that you would never need to be sued for non-payment or foreclosure, etc. Every time I look at articles like this I often say to myself; “DAMN, if I we’re rick I would find better ways to use my money so I would never end up hurting myself in the long run.”

What is his excuse? Did Fedorov just learn now the the women he has been dating over the years are high maintenance?

Of course his story is not as fuuny as that of that Boxer Holyfield who’s home in Atlanta(2 million) has forclosed and this guys was making 35 million dollars a fight in his prime. LMFAO!!!

Thoughts?

A lot of professional athletes (except guys like Mike Comrie) grew up in middle- and lower- class families and are not used to having lots of $ and lack financial planning and responsibility.

Food 4 thought (are you howling?) Americans sue eachother over the smallest things. It’s gotten to the point that in French we often refer to lawyers as “ambulance chasers”
