how do I go about getting a government grant to help me get a mortgage on a house?
I’m short on income, (husband is gone)but I am looking into grants and trying to find a specific grant that is for low income to moderate families. I looked in FHA but not much there. Does anyone know where to start looking? my income is SSD. I need to know what grant to be looking for specifically. Mature answers only, all other answers will be reported. Follow the rules, thanks!
You can check our website (free) at http://www.grantgopher.com/grantsforindividuals.aspx because we post housing grant information whenever we run across a legitimate program.
You should also check your city website; look for the housing department to find grant programs if they offer them (not all cities do). Each program has slightly different requirements for income and such, so you’ll need to review your city’s specific program.
Good luck!
