Is JP M Chase the only company that can refinance Freddie Mac loans?

I went into my local branch yesterday, and the mortgage specialist said Chase was the only institution that can work with Freddie Mac mortgages.

That is you question isn’t it, refinancing a mortgage ?

That fee sounds about right, but it depends on the points paid and all the other costs with a refinance. 1000 for processing, 1000 for title fee, 200 for notary and recording. 350 for appraisal. It adds up quickly.

Freddie Mac should be able to tell you who brokers their loans.

Why do you have to stay with a Freddy Mac loan ?

How much do expect to save each month with a refi ? The fees will usually take about 2 years to pay down. Divide the amount of the cost of refi by the monthly amount saved and that will be the break even point in months. Expect to keep the loan for that amount of time or longer or it is not worth it. Take the 4000 and put it towards the present loan or invest it and get 3% or more for 2 years.
