Getting a real estate broker's license?

Has anyone got a broker's license in California without the sale of their license or fourth year year. I heard there are other alternatives, as in real estate over the past few years to see the Department of Real Estate you have any kind of experience. . I have been in real estate mortgages and banking for 6 years and have completed 6 of 8 required courses to apply for a broker license.
