condo/town home investment?
We are in the O.C district of California. It is NOT cheap her at ALL, BUT there are a LOT of foreclosures, and we found a BUNCH of them in this one little “development” called SHadow Hollow. They are priced around 51,000-74,000 BUT there are some non REO ones that are selling for around 300k… I am just wondering if it would be a GOOD or a BAD investment. These are by FAR the cheapest homes we have found, but the development does not look cheap… don’t know anything about condos or town homes…!!
Most of Orange COunty sells homes for 300k-over a million, not including the mobile homes!
DOes any one know HOW or WHAT I need to look for to tell me if it is a good idea or not??
*Thanks*
I couldn’t tell you it would be a wise decision to buy right now. Values will not go to their old levels ANYTIME soon. Also, since the economic state of our country is in the garbage and there are still tons of foreclosures on the horizon, the “deal” you think you’re getting now will look like you drastically overpaid in a year or two. Values will continue to plummet, great time to rent. Anyone that tells you otherwise wants to sell you a house or do your mortgage.
