What if the bank sent someone to change the locks on rental property?
My friend lives in a rented house. owner leaving to pay the mortgage, because they no longer want the house. My friend is interested in buying the house he has lived already there. The owner told my friend who goes home to his sale to buy it. The sales process has not started yet discovered. my friend still lives at home waiting for approval of short selling in the bank. Also yesterday, Several people came to the house, saying that the bank told them to put a lock on the door of the house. but because my friend was there the boys say they can not change the locks because someone is living n the house. So they took my friends name and say that the information transmitted (that is someone in the house) the bank. I think the house is now being implemented before the question is what will the bank do now? Are they going to kick my friend's house right away? My friend needs to stay at home until the contract or short sale the bank said anything?
It is normal for the bank to send someone to make sure the house is safe. It is also normal not change the locks and occupied the house. What This means that although the date of the auction is close. My question to you: you made an offer on the house in writing to that the bank may consider a short sale? For the Bank to consider a short sale, they should have received a written offer on your part. The owner or you or a agent must submit to the bank. The sales process is a lengthy process and there are many elements necessary for the seller to the bank to consider this request. If you have not submitted a offer and the seller has not submitted the necessary documents to the bank – you should probably start looking for a new place to live because time is short, they are now checking if the house is insured. Usually they are until you take action weeks before the auction. The bank will arrange for you to buy a property until to enter the auction. They can not! They do not have to close immediately. So go on. If you wait until the date of the auction will run the risk of buying someone else property at auction. Each state is different in so far as to leave the property.
