How do you sell a house “buy owner”??
We have someone who is interested in buying our house.It is not listed with a real estate agent so we would be selling it “buy owner”.We have already come to an agreement on the price and they are going to pay ALL the closing costs.I just have never sold without a real estate agent so I have no idea where to start or what paperwork we need.
Note: They have already been pre-approved by our mortgage lender..
Contact a local attorney to draw up the necessary paperwork for you. The cost will vary, so you might want to call 3 or 4 attorneys to get a quote and find out what the fee includes. We have sold 3 houses without a realtor and saved a bundle of money doing so. You may have to pay the attorney $500-1,000 but it is much cheaper than the real estate commission. Your attorney can instruct you on what steps need to be taken after the contract is drawn up, and once you choose a ‘Title’ company, they handle the rest.
