I’m about to get my BSc, but I want to be a real-estate developer…?
I am currently in my last year at university and graduating with my BSc. I really want to get into real estate development, however. What would the best route to go? Some may say that my BSc will be totally useless if i want a career in that, or I could get a job with it to make enough capital in order to get into the real estate business. I could also go back to university to get a degree in finance. Another option would be to try to get my MBA and get some business experience that way. Has anyone been in a similar situation that could help me choose the best option?
Real Estate Developing is risky.
Finish up your degree to have something to fall back on. You’re almost there, might as well.
You can start some development already. Get a license? Sure.
But you don’t need one.
There are plenty of Development loans out there you can get for the right project.
To get approved, you’ll just need a good team of people that know what their doing.

builder
architect
engineer
finance guy
someone who can work with the city for permits etc
Figure out which guy you are.
